Shetpe Wind Project
An ongoing wind-power project by Samal EcoEnergy with secured land, bankable wind data and a guaranteed 20-year PPA.
About the project
Project overview
The Shetpe site combines 50 MW awarded through the government renewable auction with a further 20 MW contracted directly with Heidelberg Cement Kazakhstan. Measured average wind speed on site is 8.79 m/s — among the strongest resources in the country.
Land rights, permits, grid, road and city infrastructure are already available, and the project is overseen by an international expert firm. A combined wind–solar configuration can be implemented on the same site.
